Project Technical Inspector (Buildings)

Position Summary
This position isresponsible for managing commissary construction/renovation work on a militaryinstallation. The position is located at El Centro, California and is scheduled to run between 12-18 months depending on project timelinessand schedule. You will be responsiblefor managing technical inspectors ensuring the general contractor meets theproject scope and objectives.
Oversee and coordinate the work of assigned Technical Inspectors,
Will serve as consultant to client, who are official contacting officers of the US Government.
Arrange for additional technical support, and for providing liaison and support to the PMAC Core Management Team.
Area Manager will be tasked and be responsive to the PMAC Core Management Team.
Provide personnel and construction technical support to respective Technical Inspectors and will maintain overall responsibility for the quality and performance of assigned technical inspection efforts on project.
Intervene as necessary to provide required additional technical support to the government in support of PMAC functions.
Insure the quality and completeness of PMAC services provided as well as the quality and completeness of construction, adherence to schedule, and all other construction related requirements and activities.
Responsible for maintaining project files as "Lessons Learned" based on the knowledge and experience of actual on site project management and in a file format as specified by the government and for collaborating and integrating these files into a system-wide Lessons Learned file maintained by the PMAC Core Team.
Reports to an Area Manager and may be required travel to meet with the CORE management team at Lackland AFB, TX
Responsible for overall project delivery (cost, schedule, quality, information, contracts) on multiple project assignments
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture Preferred
8 years of experience as a Project Manager in an Engineering, Environmental or Construction organization required
10 years of experience in a project related technical field required
Strong working knowledge of construction documents, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building required
Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/certification preferred
Essential Functions:
Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
